Privacy policy

Last updated October 22, 2026. This policy describes how TriedNote stores your journal and uses device permissions.

Your journal

Experiences, folders, comparisons, comments, conditions, and attachments are stored on your device in the app's private storage. The app does not require an account and does not send your journal to TriedNote servers. If you delete the app without a device backup, you may lose this data. Device backups, if enabled, are controlled by your device settings and backup provider.

Photos, videos, audio, and location

You choose which photos, videos, and files to attach. The app requests camera or microphone access when you use capture or recording, and location access when you ask to attach your current position. Selected media and coordinates are stored with your journal on your device. You can change permissions in iOS Settings and remove an attachment by editing its experience.

Notifications

If you choose a time to be reminded about a missing result, the app requests notification permission and schedules a local notification on your device. The notification can contain the experience title. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings or remove the reminder by editing the experience.

This website

This website does not include analytics or advertising scripts. Web servers may process technical request data, such as an IP address and access time, to deliver and protect a website.

Your choices

You can edit or delete experiences in the app. Deleting an experience removes its locally stored attachments. A saved comparison can still contain a copy of that experience's title, date, conditions, actions, result, and next-time note; delete the comparison separately if you want to remove that copy. You can revoke device permissions in iOS Settings.

App analytics and payments

TriedNote does not include analytics or advertising SDKs, create user accounts, or operate a backend for journal content. The app has no monetization, paid subscriptions, or in-app purchases.

Support correspondence

If you email support, Alexander Braun receives your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. This information is used to answer your request and investigate reported issues. The email provider processes messages to deliver and store them. Correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the request, related follow-up, or applicable legal obligations. You may request access, correction, or deletion by email. Please avoid sending sensitive journal content.

Your rights

We cannot access journal data held only on your device. For personal information you have sent to support, contact us to exercise applicable data protection rights. Depending on applicable law, these may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

Changes

We will update this page when app features or data practices change and show the new update date above.
